Poland

Poland

Poland is a nation of approximately 38 million people.  The capital city, Warsaw, is approximately 2.2 million.  The polish economy is one of the most robust in Central Europe, although unemployment runs about 18%.  Poland is a member of both NATO and the EU.  Poland is a heavily Catholic country with Evangelicals (including Pentecostal/Charismatics) representing 4.1% of the population.  There is some low level discrimination against non Catholics.  There has been no significant church growth since joining the EU as people seek the materialism enjoyed by the West.  Pray for our missionary John Daigle as he oversees the work of translation and printing of Christian literature, pastoral mentoring and the “School of the 70” in Poland.
